The second day of the
National dog show was another resounding success.
Another side line of information is that all dogs
in Colombia are micro chipped and every dog is scanned
and verified before entering the ring. Judge Carlos
Solano D'Archardi selected as Best In Show the Fila
Brasileiro, Ch. L'Napoleao Do Caudilho, reserve
was the Bull Terrier, Ch. Russak De Lealevel and
Best Puppy was the Smooth Fox Terrier Isabel De
La Gran Aldea. After Best Show we went to an authentic
Colombian restaurant called El Rancherito Antioqueno
where we enjoyed some very delicious local food
and beverage in a quiet ambiance and music of Colombia.
Everyone ate a traditional dish with Wendy savoring
the local specialty, Bandeja Paisa featuring beans,
rice, sausage, ground beef, bacon rinds, avocado,
arepa all topped off with a fried egg. The main
beverage we drank was Refago which is a combination
beer and Colombiana Soda. The appetizers were Chicharron
(spiced bacon) and fried Yuca (vegetable) with Hogao
and Aji sauces. A great ending to a perfect day.
