Dog Show In Sarubaya-
December 3 & 4, 2005 and visit with 'Agus and
Andri'.
The dog show was located
about an hours drive from the villa and was held
outdoors in a beautiful central park of a new housing
development. The judging was on carpet covered with
a canopy tent to protect from the sun and showers.
The exhibitors prepared the dogs in air conditioned
tents which were rented for the day.
I had 'Roman' Am Can
Ch Chantilly's Romance At Wenrick entered for the
weekend shows. He won two CC's towards his Indonesian
Championship (they require four) and a Group 1st.....a
great start to his Asian show career.
After Sunday's show
we visited the home and kennel of Sylvie & Andra
Jonathon of D'Lucresia Shih Tzu. We enjoyed going
over many of their beautiful dogs and some welcomed
refreshments and hospitality. Next we all got together
for an after show dinner at the Banana Leaf Restaurant
with Agus, Andri, Christine, Sylvie, Andra, Hanson,
Jully and Sophie. We enjoyed some great local beverages
and seafood as I became more acquainted with my
new friends.
With the first very
successful weekend of dog shows out of the way we
returned to Augus and Andri's in Solo City for some
rest and relaxation. No vacation would be complete
without shopping and my hosts were up to the task.
Over the next few days we visited a multitude of
shops, including a silver factory and many marketplaces.
I am not accustomed to being spoiled in such a fashion
as Agus and Andri would not let me leave most stores
without lavishing me with awesome gifts. I must
admit I especially enjoyed the 'magnificent' gold
and jewel adorned 'Lion Dogs' and did need two extra
suitcases on my return trip. Another perk I enjoyed
and 'deserved' after spending all that time shopping
each day was a relaxing and rejuvenating 'Japanese
Massage' that all three of us pampered ourselves
with at the local spa.
I bid a sad farewell
to Agus as he would not be joining us on the weekend
to Thailand to visit with 'Kai'.
